Small Faces London- Denmark Street

Denmark Street is at the northern end of Charing Cross Road. It plays a pivotal role in the UK music industry as it has many music shops and music publishers. It is commonly known as "Tin Pan Alley". Steve Marriott hawked his first song Imaginary Love around the music publishers but without success. It was finally taken up by Belinda Music of Saville Row. Denmark Street was also the location of the Gioconda, a coffee bar very popular with musicians. It was here that Steve Marriott may have met John Weider who joined the Frantics. Weider later was guitarist or violinist in the Pirates, Winston's Fumbs and the Animals.
