Here Come The Nice / Talk To You

Released: 2 June 1967

Label: Immediate IM050

Highest Chart Position: 12

How this single escaped an airplay ban remains a mystery as its drug references are not even hidden. Apart from the line "he's always there when I need some speed," the "Nice" in question is a drug dealer. The American comedian Lord Buckley's "Here come the Nazz." Translated by the Small Faces into "Nice" meaning having a good buzz from a joint, the track played on an in-joke within the group.

The single was promoted heavily including on West Germany's Beat Club, footage of which is available on the CD Nice and Small Faces DVD EP
