Founding member of The Incredible String Band Clive Palmer died at the West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance on 23 November 2014 after a long illness.

Shindig Issue 32

The latest issue of this superb magazine had a major feature on Mike Heron's non-ISB career covering Smiling Men with Bad Reputations and Mike Heron's Reputation. This is in advance of a major celebration of the Incredible String Band, Witches Hats & Painted Chariots, due on 6 June 2013.

Live at the Fillmore East June 1968

The next ISB release from Hux, due out in February 2013, will be the June 1968 Fillmore East concert, previously a bootleg of variable quality. The gig features Mike and Robin playing material from Hangman and Wee Tam to a rapturous audience. The original mono reel-to-reel tape was in the Witchseason archive, and so this will be the complete concert without cuts and in brilliant quality. Robin has written some sleevenotes, as has Stan Lee (!) who was at the gig ,and a Joe Boyd interview is in the pipeline.

A new CD from Robin Williamson is Love Will Remain. This is available as CD and 180g vinyl. The latter includes an insert with large paintings and texts from Robin.

On 26 September 2011, Hux is reissuing Heavy Petting as a digi-pack (remastered, with a 36-page booklet, unreleased bonus tracks, loads of previously unseen photos and new additional artwork by Tim Booth). To mark this the band - plus special guests - will perform the album live alongside a selection of earlier material. There will be an added rhythm section for the electric tracks, and Paul Simmons of the Bevis Frond will guest on lead guitar. Other guests are yet to be confirmed.

Incredible String Band Remastered

Joe Boyd has been working with the original engineer John Wood to remaster the original Elektra recording and these have now been released in Fledg'ling Records. No additional tracks are included so that the integrity of the original albums is preserved. However, there are essays by Robin, Mike and Clive as well as Joe Boyd to complete the package.

Woodstock 40 Years On

A new DVD due for August release is Woodstock Diary. This is a documentary and it features footage of bands not included in the original film of the event such as the Incredible String Band. Also, a six CD set includes just about all of the Woodstock performances including two from the Incredible String Band which have not been available on previous Woodstock compilations.

Barbican

Mojo March 2009

The latest issue of Mojo magazine has a brief feature on Billy Connolly. Billy came out of the same Scottish folk scene as Robin, Clive and Mike. He notes that "all-time favourite album" is Wee Tam & The Big Huge".  He also remarks that he and Robin share the same birthday.
