The Charisma of a Folk Rock ABBA!
It's String time in Mojo land. Self-confessed
Stringie and Mojo founder Mark Ellen contributes a major feature for the August
2000 issue. There's very little about post-String activity but the career
description is highly detailed. A recommended read. (Lots about Lennon/McCartney
too)

drops on to your doormat. Much of this is given over to reaction, positive and
negative, to the Edinburgh show and a look ahead to the forthcoming Incredible

usual address.

The Seed at Zero
The Seed-At-Zero is the title of Robin
Williamson's first album for ECM Records, which will be released in Europe in
August. This solo disc, recorded in March 2000, examines the bardic tradition
in Welsh visionary verse, setting texts by Dylan Thomas, Henry Vaughan and
others to music and also revisiting some of Robin's own songs that seem a
natural extension of this tradition. The recording includes new versions of Cold
Days Of February, The Barley, Skull And Nettlework, Verses
At Balwearie Tower, To God In God's Absence and For Mr Thomas
as well as much inspiring sung poetry.
